Clayton CHRISTENSEN

Clayton Christensen is the Robert and Jane Cizik Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, the school from which he graduated as a George F. Baker Scholar in 1979 with an MBA (High Distinction). His research and writing interests focus on managing technological innovation and locating new markets for leading-edge technologies.

Before returning to Harvard, Christensen worked in the private sector as chairman and president of Ceramics Process Systems Corporation (CPS) and as a consultant and project manager with the Boston Consulting Group. He was also advisor to US Transportation Secretaries Drew Lewis and Elizabeth Dole.

Christensen's writings have appeared in a variety of publications including the Harvard Business Review and The Wall Street Journal. His book The Innovator's Dilemma: When New Technologies Cause Great Firms to Fail, (1997) won the Global Business Book Award for best business book published in 1997. His latest book is The Innovator's Solution: Creating and Sustaining Successful Growth (2003).
