Rosabeth Moss Kanter is the Ernest L. Arbuckle Professor at Harvard Business School and Chair and Director of the Harvard University Advanced Leadership Initiative. Former editor of the Harvard Business Review, Kanter is best known for her work on change leadership and turnarounds; leadership in the digital age; and multinational corporations in the developed and developing world.
She is the author or co-author of 18 books. Highlights include Men & Women of the Corporation (1977), which examined corporate career success factors; and The Change Masters (1983), which focused on innovation. In When Giants Learn to Dance (1989), Kanter addressed challenges facing companies at the beginning of the global technology boom; and in World Class: Thriving Locally in the Global Economy, she considered the dilemmas of globalization. Confidence: How Winning Streaks & Losing Streaks Begin & End (2004), illuminates the dynamics of turnarounds across sectors and nations.
Her latest book is SuperCorp: How Vanguard Companies Create Innovation, Profits, Growth, and Social Good, (2009). Kanter is also co-founder of the consulting group Goodmeasure, through which she consults to CEOs and the senior teams of numerous companies.
